Jon Dimalanta is a dynamic business professional with a broad range of experiences across HR. In his current position as SVP, CHRO Corporate Functions, he leads the human capital activities for, Marketing and Communications, Internal Audit Services, Law and Policy, Risk and Compliance and Office of the CFO. Prior to TIAA, Jon was the CHRO and Head of Administration for Atlanta-based U.S. Security Associates. He led the company’s award-winning learning and leadership development programs to deliver on the needs of 46,000 employees, 146 branch offices, and 3,000+ clients. To this end, he was named a “Top Young Training Leader” by Training Magazine in 2012. Prior to U.S. Security Associates, he worked at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch as SVP, Leadership Development Executive for various organizations. Jon earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO, with Minors in Math and Biomedical Sciences. He also continued his education by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Missouri State University. Bee Thao is Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Note-Pros, LLC, where he provides institutional capital solutions in the private real estate credit market. With 20+ years in mortgage banking, he has managed over $3.5 billion in annual whole loan transactions across conventional, Non-QM, RTL, and DSCR loans, with deep expertise in due diligence and investor relationships. Previously, Bee led capital markets initiatives at PeerStreet and managed bulk acquisitions at Ally Bank. He holds a J.D. from Charlotte School of Law and B.S.B.A. from UNC Charlotte. Bee also serves as Treasurer for the North Carolina Hmong Women Association, supporting financial strategy and organizational growth.

He currently serves as Chief Global Data & Analytics Officer at Universal Music Group, where he has built and leads a global function that leverages predictive modeling, e-commerce, and AI to power fan engagement and drive business growth for hundreds of artists and labels worldwide. Naras previously founded and sold two analytics-focused companies, including Quaero, which served major brands such as American Express, Ford, Marriott, and ESPN. He has held senior leadership roles at First Union, McKinsey & Company, and NielsenIQ. A thought leader in his field, he authored High Performance Marketing and has lectured at top universities across the U.S. He previously served on the Novo Nordisk (NYSE: NVO) Fit for the Future Advisory Board and currently serves on the boards of The Travel Corporation (Chair, Technology Committee) and is an active member of the Nasdaq Center for Board Excellence, National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), and Private Directors Association. A champion for the next generation of leaders, Naras is a certified executive coach and faculty member for World 50’s NEXT program. Naras earned degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, the University of Texas at Austin, and Northwestern University. He has been named one of DataIQ’s “10 Most Influential People in Data” (2022–2024) and featured in Forbes and CDO Magazine for his leadership at the intersection of data and entertainment.

Ann Gonzales is a community leader, advocate, and bridge-builder with over 12 years of experience supporting small business growth across the Carolinas. She currently serves as President of the Carolinas Asian-American Chamber of Commerce and is the former President of the Carolinas LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce—the first Asian-American to hold that position. A proud Filipina immigrant and self-taught entrepreneur, Ann began her career in web development and marketing at just 15 years old. She is the founder of Savvy Pioneer, an agency that helps underserved businesses grow through digital strategy, storytelling, and design. She is also pursuing a transition into cybersecurity, bringing her commitment to equity into the world of digital safety and access. Ann is known for her work in uplifting Asian-owned businesses through culturally responsive outreach, digital literacy, mentorship, and community events. In 2025, she was honored with the WFAE EQUALibrium Award for Economic Empowerment and Mobility. Her leadership centers on equity, cultural awareness, and passing the torch—empowering others to become advocates, connectors, and changemakers in their own communities.

Daniel Wang is a first-generation immigrant from China and an experienced finance professional currently serving as Assistant Controller at Barings LLC in Charlotte, where he supports Private Debt fund operations and financial reporting. He brings a strong background in audit and fund oversight, developed through years of experience at Grant Thornton LLP, where he led engagements across manufacturing and financial services clients. In addition to his technical expertise, Daniel is a passionate advocate for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) representation in corporate spaces. He is the Founder and U.S. Chair of the Barings Pan Asian Network, leading the firm’s first AAPI employee resource group across its U.S. offices. He also serves as Treasurer for Ascend Leadership Charlotte, where he manages budgeting and supports strategic initiatives for the region’s leading AAPI professional organization.

Yanyong He is a Tax Senior Manager with BDO USA, P. C.. She has 10+ years of public accounting experience and majored in partnership tax compliance and consulting services. Her career started with Big Four (accounting firms), and now her client base includes real estate funds, private equity funds, PE backed operating partnerships, and alternative investment and fund of funds. Yanyong has lived in the Charlotte area for more than a decade, where she met her husband and now has two lovely daughters. Originally born and raised in Beijing, China, Yanyong has always enjoyed connecting with people from different backgrounds, and loved sharing all the stories from work, and life, and from this place now she calls home. Yanyong thrives when she is able to help people, and feel connected and contributing, and to make the community a bit better as a day goes by. Since 2016, Yanyong joined as a leadership member of the Ascend Charlotte Chapter, participated in IAG in the year of 2019. After the Covid years, and since the Charlotte Chapter revamped in 2023 and 2024, Yanyong re-joined the leadership team as VP Membership. She is very proud to be part of the organization, and looking to work with each member in the chapter to thrive individually and connected as a community, growing together with our Ascend Charlotte Chapter.

Celine has a proven track record of navigating complex regulatory environments and is dedicated to enhancing the understanding of tax regulations. Beyond her technical expertise, Celine is a passionate advocate for professional development and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). She plays an active role in PwC’s Pan Asian Inclusion Network and serves on the leadership team of the Ascend Charlotte Chapter, where she designs workshops to equip professionals with cutting-edge skills. When away from spreadsheets, Celine fuels her curiosity by traveling, drawing inspiration from global business practices to inform her work.
